Now Entering Camylleon’s Cave

Welcome to my cave:

“Who is Camylleon and why is she in a cave?” you may well ask.

Good question!

My name is Melissa, and I am Camylleon. I chose this name because, like most of us mortals, I have a different face for every occasion. To my parents I am a daughter, to my husband I am a wife, to my friends I am a sarcastic…well, you get the idea. The point is, this is where all my colors run together, where you will see all the different shades of the Camylleon.

Why a cave? Well, aside from the obvious alliteration (isn’t alliteration spiffy?), caves are:

Dark and mysterious if you’re not familiar with them, but cozy and comfy if you are

Great places for meditation and initiation rites

Shelter in a storm, for man and beast alike

Some of the most primitive housing on earth

And last but not least, because of the Monty Python epsiode with the hermits. What would you wallpaper your cave with?

This is my internet home, where I plant and nurture my ideas,  seek shelter from the storms of the world. It is my literary meditation and my figurative initation.

Take a look around, get the feel of the place. In Semantics Shemantics, you’ll find my personal definitions. There are some words that I’ll use that I may not use the same way you do, this will give you my definitions. No, they’re not the only definitions, but at least you’ll have a better idea of what I mean by that (whatever it might be).

In Da Rules! You’ll see some very simple and basic “rules” for getting along while you’re here. Its mostly just so you’ll understand if I decide to delete a comment or something like that. Most everyone in the world understands now that blogs represent a person or persons opinions…but just in case anyone is confused…

If you’ve any comment at all, even just a wave as you walk by, feel free. You don’t have to be a member! Of course, if it intrigues you at all, by all means subscribe! I’ll be blogging once a day, and I try to always keep my posts under 1000 words or so. (I do not always succeed…but I try!)

Thank you again for visiting me in my cave.

Of course! 😀 You seem an interesting fellow and I understand a lot of what you’re going through…what I haven’t experienced myself, I can understand through empathy. I’m always looking for people of like minds or at least similar minds. The internet is a wonderful place for that! If you have any questions at all, have no fear. I’m only human, and I’ll answer whatever I can as truthfully as possible.

Love it! As you saw on my recent limebirds post I’m kind of floundering around at the moment trying to work out what it means to have a writer blog, but I love that you’ve stamped your personality all over your blog.

It’s really inspired me to really think about the things I love and what makes me who I am and sort out my own blog!

      Sally~

Glad you found my blog useful! That wasn’t the original point of the thing, but…well, I like being helpful… 😀 I couldn’t do anything else but be myself, I’m afraid. I’m a writer, not an actor…lol. Good luck in your quest. I’ll keep my eye on you!

I know I’ve been positively horrible about commenting here, but I have been reading your posts and as always, love what you have to share! (The story about Sarah Jane was fascinating to say the least!)

Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I’ve passed along some blogging awards to you. 🙂

Hola. Thanks for following my blog again (I recently changed it from ‘A Feast of Spirits’). Just looked at your latest posts and they look interesting. I shall read them in a bit and comment. Blessings.

I know…I found you!!! Thought you could get away, eh??? 😉 Just kidding, of course. Welcome back…and I’m glad I found you again! 😀 And, as always, feel free to comment. I thrive on discussions…really I do!

Darling! You’re a fantastic person and I’ve really been digging your blog. In fact, I’ve been enjoying it so much that I decided to pass along to you the Versatile Blogger Award! Take a look and see what you think. ❤

    • Camylleon says:

WOW! Thank you so much…*blush*…I guess I’m speechless? What *is* the written equivalent of that? I dunno. High praise indeed, I must say. Thank you, thank you very much Polyphanes. Glad to have stumbled across you…!

  12. Nyktypolos says:

Hey, so I wanted to ask you a question but didn’t want to, idk, be presumptious and use your email so I figured I’d ask here. Would you mind if folks (i.e. me) email you with an idea or two for the whole ‘Great Minds’ thing? Blessings.

P.S. And because I’m feeling, er. fiesty you get a RAWR today too.

    • Camylleon says:

      Dahlin…

First, thank you for the RAWR. And a hearty RAWR to you as well! 😉

It is PERFECTLY fine for you to be presumptuous and use the email. I’d looooooove ideas for the discussion. Email away m’dear! I’m looking forward to it…

  13. I’m curious, in the act of following my blog, do you carry your cave around with you, or do you prefer to leave a trail of cookies leading back to your residence? Personally, I prefer a well-defined line of Oreo’s as my cave is frozen into the ground around me and cannot easily be lifted. I’d be interested in your thoughts on the matter…

    • Camylleon says:

      Welllllllll…

Being that I’m not a turtle nor a tortoise…I would have to say that the blog is my cave and I (the Camylleon) crawl around from blog to blog. Of course you won’t see me unless I actually leave a comment…because I *am* the Camylleon…and just that sneaky. As far as finding my way back to my cave? I find gummy bears work best in this weather. Animals won’t touch them and they stand out against the snow. However, they do melt in the rain so…I just don’t leave my cave in the rain. Well, I leave it but only to dance about in the rain. I don’t travel very far.

Let me know if you think of anything not rain-soluble…
